Massachusetts is truly the cradle of American democracy.
250 years ago, people of Massachusetts protested against British rule, put their lives on the line, and took up the cause of independence, from the Boston Tea Party to the battles of Lexington and Concord.
They set in motion a struggle that became about self-governance, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press, ideals that are at the heart of who we are as a country, values that are sadly under attack today.
We urgently need patriotic leaders like Ed, with the wisdom and proven experience to confront the challenges we face without backing down.
