Hi John, did you see what our MAGA opponent, Mike Rogers, has been up to?
He just released his first attack ad targeting us, and if I’m being honest, it was… something. It opens with a family on a couch who look like they were told, “Just act natural!” and immediately forgot how.
And then it flashes to me, made to look like a villain in a low-budget movie.
But behind the wackiness hides a really interesting observation: Mike Rogers is terrified of running on his actual record.
Because what did he choose to defend in that ad? His support for Donald Trump’s Big Ugly Bill — the disastrous piece of legislation that:
All so that billionaires could walk away with massive tax breaks. That’s what Mike Rogers is trying to distract from with this cartoonish attack ad.
Mike Rogers is banking on the hope that voters won’t remember what he did. Our job is to make sure every voter in Michigan understands that.
And the good news is, we have the winning message to do it.
Because when we tell people the truth about what our campaign is fighting for…
…you feel the energy change. That’s what a real winning message sounds like.
But none of it matters if people never hear from us.
Mike Rogers has wealthy donors, corporate PACs, and the old guard behind him. They can blanket the airwaves with attack ads like this one and drown out the truth if they want to.
If we’re going to reach voters with our message through ads, canvassing, digital organizing, and every tool we have… we need the resources to do it.
That’s why the upcoming FEC deadline is so important. If we don’t hit our $250,000 digital goal before December 31, we simply cannot reach the number of voters we need — and Mike Rogers will define our campaign for us.
Your friend in the fight,
Abdul
