 Dear Friend,
Happy Holidays, Michigan!
Whether you’re decorating your Christmas tree, lighting the menorah, or gathering for Kwanzaa, this holiday season is an opportunity to enjoy and celebrate cherished traditions with friends and family.
As I reflect on 2025, I am deeply grateful for every Michigander whose hard work, service, and achievements moved our state forward this year. Here in Michigan, we get stuff done by taking care of our friends, family, and community. When we look out for each other and work together toward our shared goals, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
For those who may be grieving, feeling lonely, or carrying the weight of a difficult year this holiday season, please know that you are not alone. Looking out for one another is part of who we are as Michiganders, so let’s check in on friends and family and extend a little extra kindness to one another this season.
At the beginning of the month, I proclaimed December as Michigan Christmas Tree Month. With over 500 Christmas tree farms across the state, Michigan is one of the top producers of evergreens in the nation, with local farmers across our state working hard every year to bring joy and holiday spirit into our homes. It’s a reminder of the countless Michiganders, from local Christmas tree farmers to retail workers, who are working hard to make this season special. We are grateful for all that they do to make the holidays bright.
As we step into the new year, let’s continue to work together to build a brighter future for Michigan. I am proud of all that we achieved, and I’m excited for all that’s to come next year.
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy, safe, and warm holidays.
Sincerely,
|
