We all know it's been a really tough year. But despite the chaos and destruction from the Trump administration, we also saw some incredible progress.

At the Sierra Club, we are thinking about ways to continue fostering our incredible community while furthering our work to transition to clean energy, protect clean air, water, lands, and communities, and get more people outdoors.

Here are the new year's resolutions that some of our Sierra Club chapter directors from across the country are making:

Hernaliz Vazquez Torres, Puerto Rico Chapter Director
"For 2026, the Sierra Club Puerto Rico Chapter resolves to confront the urgent challenges of our time with unwavering will and collective action, knowing that while progress may be incremental and obstacles formidable, our commitment, courage, and unity will sustain our fight for environmental justice and a just, sustainable future for Puerto Rico."

Catherine Corkery, New Hampshire Chapter Director
"My goal for 2026 is to foster collaboration and community in every room I enter by listening and highlighting the power we create together. Protecting the environment includes everyone and we have the power to stand by our values. We all deserve to thrive in New Hampshire."

Damon Motz-Storey, Oregon Chapter Director
"In 2026 I'm focusing on what is within my control and centering on joy and community to help stay strong in fighting for the environment."

Camilla Feibelman, Rio Grande Chapter Director
"In these tough times, it can feel like nothing I do makes a difference. But the power for change lives at home. I'll be focused on making sure every New Mexican feels like they can get involved and that doing so will make our little corner of the planet a safe and healthy place to life"

Friend, we're so glad you're on this journey with us. Let us know what your 2026 new year's resolution is -- we're all in this together.
