This past year, the Trump administration has launched a coordinated, multi-agency government attack on immigrant communities across the country. ICE agents, often masked, are carrying out the administration’s mass deportation agenda through indiscriminate and often violent raids and arrests. This cruel policy directly harms our collective economy, health, and safety as a nation.

As you might remember, the Trump administration, in the middle of the night on a holiday weekend, attempted the indefensible: waking vulnerable children up from their beds in shelters and trying to unlawfully remove them to danger. Within hours, we filed an emergency lawsuit, and the court intervened just in time, as at least 76 frightened children sat on planes on airport runways. Our lawsuit successfully stopped the Trump administration’s plan to target hundreds of children.

In the face of rapidly evolving threats, we have empowered our communities with critical information and tools to protect themselves. Since November 2024, we have produced more than a dozen critical Know Your Rights resources and videos, most available in multiple languages. They have reached millions and been viewed more than 11 million times.

With our partners and on behalf of seven elected officials from across Tennessee, we secured a legal victory, blocking the illegal and unnecessary deployment of the National Guard in Memphis. This case is part of our larger fight against the Trump administration’s attempts to consolidate executive authority and condition the American people to the presence of the armed forces in our neighborhoods.
