Congress: No New Data Centers!

([link removed])

Our leaders must rein in data centers’ harms to our environment, economy, and society. Until then — no more new data centers!

This month, we organized a letter with more than 230 national, state, and local organizations calling on Congress to stop new data centers. The letter was covered extensively in the news, including The Guardian, NPR, and several other outlets.

And this week, Senator Bernie Sanders joined the call! ([link removed])

While Trump works to deregulate data centers and hasten the AI boom, grassroots opposition to data centers is growing. Congress must pass protections before allowing any more of these energy- and water-guzzling facilities to be built. Tell Congress: No more data centers! ([link removed])

PA Townships Win Against Data Centers!

Pennsylvania is one of the epicenters for the data center boom, and Pennsylvanians are bearing the costs through their electricity bills. But from Hazle Township to Hampden Township, we’ve been working with local activists to stop proposed data centers — and winning! ([link removed]) Using municipal zoning ordinances, we’ve been able to shut down these proposals, and we’re looking forward to even more wins in 2026.

This year, Trump and his allies were determined to gut essential protections and programs for safe food and clean water. But with your dedication, we stopped a host of bad policies from passing in Congress!

Together, we preserved funding for school lunches, defended a rule to get lead out of our water, stopped corporate handouts like the EATS Act and the Cancer Gag Act, blocked measures to speed up pipeline permitting, and more!

EPA: Monitor microplastics!

In a massive win for people power, we successfully pushed seven governors to send a petition to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) demanding nationwide monitoring for microplastics in drinking water supplies. This is a momentous step towards the future regulation of microplastics.

Now we’re urging the EPA to grant this petition. ([link removed]) People have the right to know about the microplastic contamination of their drinking water!
