This upcoming Eid, MPV has the unique opportunity to help build something our community has long been missing and we want to invite you to be part of it. After Ramadan, Muslims gather for prayer and celebration, yet American Muslims still lack a non-religious, cultural tradition that is musical, communal, and welcoming to cultural Muslims and our non-Muslim family and friends. We don’t yet have our own version of The Nutcracker but MPV is aiming to change that. Omar Aldakheel, writer, director, and longtime friend of MPV, is offering a special first look at MPV’s Welcome to My Eid, a groundbreaking musical-theater production that weaves music, storytelling, and heritage into a vibrant celebration of American Muslim identity. We need to raise $15,000 to make this production possible but so far, we’ve raised only about 20% of our goal, and your support is urgently needed. |
