Things are heating up in Bolivia once again. Eight months after a coalition of neoliberals and fascists overthrew the democratic government of Evor Morales, they’re now trying to ban the leading candidate (from Morales’ party) from running in the September presidential elections. The coup regime has also hinted at postponing elections - all because the latest polls show a staggering defeat for the coup forces and mass support for Morales’ MAS party.
Join local Bolivians by rallying at the Bolivian Embassy to call for free elections, access to healthcare and education as well as justice for the massacres at Senkata and Sacaba.

As we support folks fighting fascism abroad, let’s not forget what’s happening right here at home. The scenes from Portland have been nightmare-ish. Peaceful protesters being gassed, beaten and then kidnapped by unidentified federal agents. Their allegedly violent crime? Graffiti.
Of course this isn’t just limited to Portland, many of us have experienced Trump’s war on peaceful protesters right here at home. This is the administration’s attempt to stifle an uprising that has the potential to transform our society for the better. Join us in a rally to defend the right to protest, to denounce the police state we live in and to show solidarity with Black Lives Matter.

If you can’t make it to these protests, please sign our petition demanding justice for Vanessa Guillén <[link removed]>, an Army soldier based in Fort Hood, Texas, who was reported missing but was later declared dead, having been brutally murdered by a fellow soldier in her place of work. As if her story is not already tragic enough, her family has shared that she was sexually harassed by a superior — and it has been reported that Vanessa never reported the abuse because she did not have faith in her fellow servicemen.
