One unforgettable ride home this year was Tyronne’s, who spent 16 years inside. Joe, our reentry driver, stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge, giving Tyronne a chance to take in his first city view in nearly two decades.
We helped him get clothes and essentials, then reunited him with his sisters and brother. Later, at Pier 39, Tyronne enjoyed steak and lobster for the first time in 16 years before we dropped him off with his family in the Bay Area.
