New Zealand has signed a landmark Free Trade Agreement with India, opening new opportunities for exporters and boosting long-term economic growth.
The deal removes or reduces tariffs on 95% of our exports – the highest access of any Indian FTA – and is a major win for sectors like apples, kiwifruit, and mānuka honey, giving them access to 1.4 billion consumers in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
Trade supports one in four New Zealand jobs. This agreement will create thousands of jobs and billions in new exports, helping double export value over 10 years.
