Aloha Republicans,

We want to share a clear update on where the Hawaiʻi Republican Party stands and where we are headed.

This moment matters, and it is important to say it plainly.

Leadership Announcements

We are excited to formally announce the final additions to our leadership team:

• First Vice Chair: Signe Godfrey

• National Committeeman: Scott Smart

• Honolulu County Chair: Donna Van Osdol

All three are stepping into their roles as we move into the next phase of party work with focus and discipline.

First Vice Chair: Signe Godfrey

“We have an opportunity to build something durable and professional that reflects the values of responsibility and service. I am honored to serve and optimistic about what we can accomplish together.”

I am honored to serve as your National Committeeman.

The 2026 election cycle will be important for Hawaiʻi and for the Republican Party nationally. Strengthening our majorities in the U.S. House and Senate will be essential to advancing conservative priorities.

In Hawaiʻi, we face key races including Congressional Districts 1 and 2, the Governor’s race, and legislative contests statewide. My focus in the year ahead is unity. A unified Hawaiʻi GOP with a clear, can-do approach strengthens our effectiveness and our relationship with the national party.

We will also begin preparing for the 2028 presidential cycle and convention in Houston.

I look forward to meeting more of you in the months ahead.

Honolulu County Chair: Donna Van Osdol

I am honored to have been elected Chair of the Honolulu County Republican Party.

The work ahead requires focus and cooperation. My goal is to build a county organization that is organized, unified, and prepared to support our candidates and grassroots teams.

I look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside you as we move forward.

Action Plan and Budget Approved

The State Committee has approved the Party Action Plan and the operating budget.

This means priorities are set, expectations are clear, and the work ahead is organized around measurable goals.

We are no longer in planning mode. We are in execution.

Financial Review Committee Appointed

The Financial Review Committee has been formally appointed.

This step reinforces transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of party resources. It also ensures regular oversight as we move forward.

What Comes Next

In the days ahead, you will see continued execution of the Action Plan, coordinated communications, and increased engagement across counties and committees.

There is work to do, and it will be done together.

Thank you for your continued commitment to the Hawaiʻi Republican Party.

Mahalo,
The Hawai‘i Republican Party
