Dear NRDC Activist,
The Trump administration is at it again. With public attention diverted because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they're planning to sell off the rights to hundreds of thousands of acres of magnificent public lands — across multiple states — to fossil fuel companies.
They're targeting lands near our national parks, like Sequoia in California and Arches and Canyonlands in Utah, as well as New Mexico's Greater Chaco Region and Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The Trump administration is facilitating the wholesale destruction of these shared national treasures.
NRDC has been fighting back hard in federal court against the administration's attacks — but as threats continue to mount, they urgently need our support.
Please: rush a tax-deductible gift of just $5 or more to NRDC and every dollar will DOUBLE, up to the $200,000 goal, going twice as far to power their defense of our shared public lands, our environment, and our public health.
Make no mistake: we're already feeling awful impacts of the climate crisis, and it's going to get worse, unless we act. The climate crisis is already affecting low-income communities and communities of color the hardest — as we've also seen with COVID-19, which has disproportionately impacted Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities. This is not a coincidence.
If nothing else, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us the life-saving importance of early and sustained action to protect the people and communities that are the most susceptible — and how crucial it is that we rise now to the daunting challenge of climate change.
As we think about how to rebuild our economy in the years ahead, we must put people before polluters by investing in clean energy that is good for human health and good for our climate. But that future won't be possible if the Trump administration continues its push to sacrifice these public lands to oil, gas, and coal companies.
I'm asking you to join me today in standing with NRDC as they hold the line against these reckless attacks on our health and communities. They can't continue to respond swiftly and effectively without help from supporters like you and me.
Thank you for your support at this critical moment, and for all you do to protect our environment and our public health.
Sincerely,

Robert Redford
