John,

I got up yesterday morning at 3 AM for an interview on Fox & Friends about a situation in Illinois — pregnancy centers are suing the state over an egregious pro-abortion law.

I want to make sure you know about this case because it shows clearly the abortion industry’s attacks on life, conscience, and basic freedom.

You can watch the clip here: liveaction.org/videos/lila-rose-condemns-illinois-law-that-forces-doctors-to-refer-for-abortions ([link removed] )

Here’s what you need to know:

A coalition of pro-life pregnancy centers and doctors is suing the state of Illinois over a dangerous law that forces them to refer women to abortion providers, even when doing so directly violates their faith and moral convictions.

Let me be very clear about what this means.

Abortion ends the life of a child. Illinois is now demanding that doctors and pregnancy centers help make that outcome happen by ordering them to refer women for abortions. That is not “healthcare regulation.” It is forced participation in lethal violence.

This law compels people of faith to speak and act in favor of what they know to be the taking of innocent human life. The government has no right to force that kind of moral cooperation, and the Constitution does not allow it.

Pregnancy centers exist to support women and save lives. They offer compassion, resources, and real alternatives. Illinois is trying to silence them and shut them down precisely because they refuse to promote abortion.

In NIFLA v. Becerra, the Supreme Court already ruled that the government cannot force pro-life pregnancy centers to promote abortion. Illinois is openly defying that precedent.

This law must be permanently blocked. The Seventh Circuit must fully strike down the referral mandate and restore complete conscience protections for medical professionals and ministries.

Abortion referral mandates must be repealed. And Congress must strengthen federal conscience protections so no state can ever force doctors or ministries to help kill a child.

Pregnancy centers save lives. They serve women with dignity and care. The law should protect these centers, not try to destroy them.

Thank you for standing with us in this critical fight. I will continue speaking out, and I am grateful you are walking alongside us.

For Life,

Lila Rose
