We're headed out of apple season here in WA-08, and as many of you know, we're famous for our apples.

Kim is a huge apple fan herself. From Honeycrisp to Pink Lady to Washington's own Cosmic Crisp, she'll talk apples with anyone who will listen.

Our farmers need leaders who will fight for them, not abandon them to reckless economic policies.

Trump's disastrous tariffs have been hitting our growers from both sides. Production costs are up, making it so farmers need to sell more in order to make a profit. But these tariffs are making exporting apples—a key part of the industry—so costly that buyers are backing out or buying less product than usual. That means more product flooding the U.S. market and prices falling below what many farmers need just to break even.

These policies don't grow our agricultural economy, they don't support our small and family farms, and they certainly don't protect our growers when they face tougher seasons. We need leadership that understands what farmers are up against and will actually have their backs. Kim has been a consistent voice for Washington's farmers, fighting for fair trade, smarter farm policy, and an economy where growers can plan for the future, not just survive the year.

It's vital we keep Kim's voice in Congress, and end the Republican agenda that has done nothing but wreak havoc on our farmers.
