Hey there John, it's Aru,

Across history, people have honored the winter solstice. It’s the night of the year where the sun stays away for the longest time, and on these long winter nights, it’s all too easy to forget the warmth of the long days of summer.

When we named ourselves Sunrise Movement all those years ago, it was to remind ourselves of this simple truth. No matter how dark it gets, the sun will rise, and we will be there, organizing for a better day.

Every day, we choose hope over despondency.

Can you choose hope with us, and chip in $25 to help make 2026 the biggest year for youth organizing ever? [[link removed]]
No matter how much rich and powerful people want us to believe that their greedy view of the world is natural and inevitable, no matter how much fossil fuel corporations want us to believe clean energy is unrealistic, no matter how much they want to turn everyday people against each other with racism and sexism and homophobia and xenophobia, we know that a better world will come when we all live comfortable lives regardless of our identities, and we have put the climate crisis firmly behind us, because we stopped letting these architects of our misery control our society.
