A notoriously challenging time

It’s Justin, John Hickenlooper’s campaign manager. Sorry to bug you on the weekend, but I just pulled our latest numbers and I had to reach out to John’s top supporters.

December is a notoriously difficult time for fundraising. The days are shorter, folks are getting ready to log off for the holidays, and the last thing they want to do is open another political email in their inbox. Look, I get it.

But December is also one of the most critical times for statewide campaigns like ours. We’re finalizing spending decisions for the start of the election year and sorting out our hiring plans. We’re getting ready to get in the field and ramp up our conversations with Colorado voters about lowering costs, helping families make ends meet, and fighting back against Trump’s corruption.

The reality is this campaign is about to kick into high gear, and we need to be prepared. If we fall short of our goals this month, we’ll stumble into the new year, when we should hit the ground running.

So I’m reaching out for John Hickenlooper to ask: can our team count on you to chip in $10 or more today? Anything you can give now will help us ensure that we reach our end-of-quarter goal before the Holiday Slump.

Thanks so much for anything you can give. We wouldn’t reach out if your support didn’t make a difference.

A note from John Hickenlooper:

I’m fighting every day to deliver for Colorado — to protect our public lands, strengthen our economy, and stand up to MAGA extremists who want to roll back our progress.

We can’t afford to let them win. We don't take a dime of corporate PAC money, so your grassroots support keeps this campaign strong and independent.
