Merry Christmas TX-25

Merry Christmas from my family to yours. This sacred season invites us to give thanks for the blessings we often take for granted. Let’s remember the words of Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” I encourage everyone to take a moment to give, and may this season bring peace, joy, and renewed hope to every home.

Enacting President Trump’s Agenda

This year, my House GOP colleagues and I codified 70 of President Trump’s executive orders. For Texans, these actions matter. We voted to secure the border, strengthen our military, reduce the size of the federal bureaucracy, support skilled trades, protect farmers and ranchers, and lower costs for working families. These are real results for the American people.

Standing with Small Businesses in Times of Crisis

As Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, one of my highest priorities is ensuring that when disaster strikes, small businesses are not left behind. This week, the Committee held a hearing focused on strengthening the Small Business Administration’s disaster assistance programs. We examined how these programs can deliver faster, more effective support for small businesses.

Promoting Transparency and Accountability

On Tuesday, the Financial Services Committee advanced my legislation, the Merger Process Review Act, with unanimous bipartisan support.

This bill promotes transparency and accountability by requiring regular reviews from inspectors general on how merger applications are processed. Clear processes and accountable regulators lead to better outcomes for consumers, small businesses, and local communities alike.

Serving Texas’ 25th: A Year in Review

As we come to the close of the year, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Texas’ 25th District. Every conversation, visit, and message reminds me who I work for and why this job matters.

This year, I made meaningful progress standing up for working families, supporting our communities, and defending the values that make Texas strong. None of this is possible without the trust and engagement of the folks back home, and I am deeply thankful for that partnership. I look forward to continuing this work together in the year ahead!

In Case You Missed It

I joined the Mark Davis Show to discuss the state of small businesses heading into the new year. I shared why Main Street America is optimistic thanks to permanent tax cuts, reduced regulations, 100% expensing, and lower interest rates.

We also discussed the importance of skilled trades and the need to restore hope for young people by expanding vocational education. America will always need plumbers, welders, and carpenters; empowering these careers is essential to a strong economy and a strong future.
