Hi there,
My name is Seojin Ha. I joined OLCV as an intern this past summer. Before I started, I was an average young person, and as a teenager in 2025, I felt confused. Much of the world’s problems seemed to be an “adult” topic, not something us teenagers needed to know. It often felt like young people did not have a strong voice in the issues we care about, especially the environment: I mean look at the U.S. Congress. How many of our legislators truly represent the younger generation? I wanted to change that for myself; I wanted to grow my confidence in fighting for what I believe in: fighting for our earth. So, the OLCV internship seemed like an obvious next step.
Through this internship, I have seen how powerful our voices can be. By advocating for the recent transportation package, I saw firsthand that our advocacy is not symbolic. The idea that volunteers, activists, and communities can actually affect how our world functions blew me away.
Without your support, my internship with OLCV would not have been possible. I’m humbly asking you to make an end-of-year gift to OLCV so that other young people like me can have this formative opportunity that teaches you how to be a climate activist. [[link removed]]

This internship has reshaped how I see my role in Oregon’s future. As a member of the younger generation who will soon be responsible for solving many of these challenges, I now understand that environmental politics is not something that happens in a room in D.C., it happens on the streets. OLCV has shown me that when we are engaged and informed about climate policy, we become part of the reason it changes for the better.
Will you make a generous gift now so that OLCV’s youth internship program can continue? [[link removed]]
Thank you,
