john -- I cannot thank you enough!

Our pre-primary FEC report closed last Friday, and this grassroots team stepped up in a real way. Between July 1 - July 17, we raised more than $100,000 and closed the reporting period with more than $600,000 on hand -- putting us in a great position to flip this open seat in just over 100 days.

Boiling these numbers down tells an even more compelling story.

94% of the individual contributions were under $200;
93% of the individual contributions were under $100;
75% of the donors were Tennesseans;
36% of the donors were first-time campaign investors.

This people-powered support means so much to me and it shows real momentum building for sending better leadership to Washington. Unlike our opponent, I don't take corporate PAC dollars and my friends at the bank aren't lining up to give me a multi-million-dollar sweetheart loan to fuel my campaign. It's this grassroots network that fuels our fight for Tennessee, helps share my story of service to voters across the state, and keeps our television ads on the air.

With only 16 days left to go until the primary, we need to keep this momentum going.

Unlike my opponent who has promised to rubber stamp the special-interest agenda of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell, I'm stepping forward to serve again -- in the Senate -- in a moment of crisis.

Every dollar we raise helps us share my story of service with Tennessee voters before Election Day. If you're able, please chip in today to keep our momentum going through the primary and up until November 3rd.

In service,

James
