House control could determine whether our government is guided by steady, fact-driven leadership — or by voices who have embraced extremism, conspiracy, and a dangerous disregard for democratic norms.
House control could determine whether our government is guided by steady, fact-driven leadership — or by voices who have embraced extremism, conspiracy, and a dangerous disregard for democratic norms.
In recent months, some of the loudest figures on the far right — including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth — have been pushing rhetoric that glorifies violence, attacks the rule of law, and undermines long-standing standards of military professionalism and accountability.
In September, Secretary Hegseth allegedly gave an order to “kill everybody” on a small fishing boat in the Caribbean, resulting in the deaths of several people. Many legal experts have raised serious concerns that this may constitute a violation of international humanitarian law and Hegseth refuses to come to Congress to testify about his role in the incident.
That’s why flipping the House is not just a partisan priority — it’s about protecting the integrity of our government and ensuring the people shaping national security policy are responsible, ethical, and grounded in moral and democratic values.
