John,
On Sunday, Donald Trump’s gay former ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, called Victory Fund’s mission “dangerous and offensive” in a tweet:

He then went on to attack us (and our team) in a series of follow-up tweets – and now his minions are going after us on Twitter as well.
Their claim: it is “dangerous and offensive” to strive toward electing a government that reflects the diversity of its population – including LGBTQ people. That somehow it is wrong to think our elected government shouldn’t be all straight cisgender white men.
But we know you feel differently. Will you make a donation to show you disagree with Richard Grenell and support Victory Fund’s work? [[link removed]]

We can take the hate tweets – we are used to it, to be honest. But we would love to turn Grenell’s attack on Victory Fund and our candidates and use it to raise money so we can provide EVEN MORE support to the more than 260 LGBTQ candidates we have running right now!
Donate to Victory Fund to show you disagree with Richard Grenell and believe that our government should be reflective of the diversity of America. [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Elliot Imse

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
