Look, team –
Working families in Colorado deserve both cleaner air, and more affordable and reliable energy service.
We've also got to provide our businesses and start-ups with a predictable, market-based path to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
And above all, we owe it to our kids to tackle climate change head-on, reach net-zero emissions ASAP and protect Colorado's unparalleled natural beauty.
That's where my Clean Air, Affordable Energy cap-and-invest program comes in – but if you're short on time, then before I explain, will you please rush $5 or more toward my ambitious $100,000 year-end goal so we can put it into action when we win the governor's race?

Simply put: There's no building opportunity for the next generation of Coloradans if we don't take steps now to leave behind a livable state.
If we're going to meet the growing energy demand while sticking to our net-zero target by 2050, then we need a long-term strategy. So as governor, I'll enthusiastically throw my support behind:
* Capping emissions across major economic sectors,
* Giving businesses reliable, efficient and flexible paths to compliance,
* Incentivizing businesses to pursue cleaner operations,
* Allowing Colorado’s new program to link to existing carbon markets, and
* Investing the proceeds to support climate resilience, to develop cutting-edge, climate-friendly tech, to reduce harmful air pollution in disadvantaged regions and to expand sustainable purchase programs
– to keep Colorado a national leader in the fight to end climate change, while securing energy independence and our competitive edge in the marketplace.
I'm up for any ideas that lower costs, create jobs and bolster our environment. I'm ready and willing to convene residents, businesses, environmental leaders power providers, municipalities, Tribal Nations and labor from every corner of Colorado to flesh out this plan.
But if we're going to lead the nation into a cleaner, greener future, then we have to demonstrate the grassroots strength of this campaign as we enter the election cycle – and it starts by closing the gap to my $100,000 goal by the final public reporting deadline on Dec. 31 at midnight.
So please, friend, will you rush $X, $25 or anything you can right now to get us across the finish line?

Let's do this – together. Our kids and grandkids deserve nothing less.
Michael
