John, quick confession:

I’m a huge sneakerhead.

I wear a suit and tie to work in Congress, but rocking my Airforce 1s around Capitol Hill and back home has become my calling card.

2025 put some miles on these sneakers, and I’m not done yet.

I’m now the most vulnerable House Democrat in California. In fact, CA-45 is ranked as one of the most competitive races in the entire country.

Tough district or not, it hasn’t stopped me from speaking out against this administration’s lawless abuse of power.

Has it made me a target? Absolutely.

Are more GOP challengers lining up? You bet.

But I didn’t run for Congress to play it safe -- I ran to hold people in power accountable. And yes, I’ll do it in sneakers.
