Donald Trump is on pace to clear nominees for open judicial seats and ambassadorships through the U.S. Senate faster than any other president. 

That means sorely unqualified, unprofessional, and unethical MAGA loyalists are zipping through the confirmation process. Terrible people like Emil Bove, Trump’s former personal attorney and zealous promoter of racist stereotypes and fake crises like an “immigrant invasion,” now has a lifetime seat on the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. 

Don, Jr.’s ex-wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle, is now the U.S. Ambassador to Greece. And Newt Gingrich’s third wife, Callista Gingrich, is Ambassador to both Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Trump owns the Senate. If he wants a megadonor to get a cushy lifetime appointment, he will get it. If he wanted to appoint his horse as Secretary of Agriculture, he could.

This is a five alarm fire for democracy, rule of law, and impartial justice.
