Hi John,

We have some good news. Animal rescuer Zoe Rosenberg has officially been approved to spend the last 60 days of her 90-day sentence on house arrest rather than in jail. She is also expected to be released from jail in a few days on December 24th, due to California's half-time credits for good behavior. It will be such a relief once she is out of the jail, but we aren't there yet. In jail, she has limited access to the glucose she needs to treat blood sugar lows and she's being given food that her partially paralyzed stomach cannot handle, leaving her feeling ill. Even so, Zoe never stops thinking about animals and sharing inspiring words on each daily phone call.

Unfortunately, the house arrest conditions are quite restrictive. *Zoe will not be allowed to have any visitors.* No friends or family can enter her apartment. She can only leave 2 hrs per week strictly for grocery shopping. But Zoe has the movement behind her. She'll get through it with our support. In fact, I believe she will come out even stronger and our movement will, too.

*Please keep sharing Zoe's story and keep all eyes on the jail to make sure she gets out safely.*

Together, we are shining a light on the injustice of jailing someone for rescuing suffering chickens. Zoe's powerful story is building public support for legal rights that protect all animals. The sweeping solidarity with Zoe is making this repression backfire. We can, and already are, changing the world for animals.
