Hi John.
I regularly hear from Kansans who are struggling with higher grocery prices.
Everything is just too expensive. It’s stressful when you see prices going up week after week at the checkout line. I was raised by a single mom, and I'm still paying off my student loans. I understand how worrying this can be.
That's why I'm focused on concrete and bipartisan solutions to lower your costs >>
Lowering Grocery Prices by Stopping Reckless Tariffs
I agree with Republicans and Democrats that chaotic tariffs are only making this situation even worse. It's time for a commonsense trade policy that protects Kansas farmers and helps families at the grocery store.
That’s why I’m pushing to roll back tariffs that further drive-up prices.
Kansas families are already feeling the pinch. The Budget Lab at Yale University estimates the average American household is paying $2,400 more this year.

Lowering Grocery Prices by Helping Kansas Agriculture
Instead of more tariffs, it's time to invest in the success of Kansas farmers and ranchers. A stronger agricultural supply chain means growing crops more efficiently, with less spoilage, and lower prices at the grocery store.
That's why I’m working with both parties to help Kansas farmers grow and deliver their food more cheaply.
I serve you on the House Agriculture Committee. I've made it a priority to connect with Kansas farmers and invest in our agricultural supply chain.
For example, I introduced bipartisan legislation to pushback against China's growing influence in critical agricultural sectors. I also supported a bipartisan bill to ensure fair compensation for all farms affected by avian flu.
This all means helping our state's largest economic sector, agriculture, and lowering prices for families at the grocery store.
Lowering Grocery Prices by Ensuring Fairer Competition
It's time to push back against big corporations that take advantage of people.
That's why I also supported the Price Gouging Prevention Act.
I’m also connecting small Kansas farmers with federal resources to help our economy. This ensures families have more choices to shop for the best bargains.
I know this is a tough time for many Kansans. So as I keep pushing for progress, I'm also directing my office to connect Kansans with any resources they can.
