JOHN,
As the Holidays arrive, I’ve been thinking a lot about what this time of year brings out in people. Rhode Island may be small, but we have a remarkable way of showing up for each other, not just in emergencies or big moments, but in the simple, everyday ways that make this season feel so meaningful.
Every December, I see volunteers organizing coat drives, teachers putting together holiday gifts for students, and neighbors checking in on seniors who live alone. And during a year when so many families are juggling higher costs and tighter budgets, these quiet acts of generosity matter more than ever.
I hope the next few days give you the chance to slow down, spend time with the people you love, and enjoy moments of rest. I know how busy life can get, and how rare it is to have uninterrupted time with friends and family.
This season has also made me reflect on how grateful I am for everyone who has supported this work. Whether you’ve attended a town hall, written to my office about an issue that matters to you, shared our messages with friends, or contributed to help keep this campaign going, I want you to know it means a great deal to me. The work we do is only possible because people like you choose to be part of it.
Wishing you a peaceful holiday season.
— Seth
