Proud to Endorse Greg Abbott for Re-election as Governor of the Great State of Texas

[[link removed]]

Texas stands out as the eighth-largest economy in the world, a place that continues to attract business, jobs, and nearly 1,700 new people every day, because Texas is the America that all America used to be. Texas is the very best place to live, work, and raise a family. That doesn’t happen by accident. It takes strong leadership and passing the strongest conservative agenda in the country. That’s why I’m endorsing Greg Abbott for re-election as governor.

I’m also proud to have Governor Abbott’s endorsement [[link removed]] for my re-election campaign.

Cypress Republicans Christmas Luncheon

On Monday, I stopped by the great and fast-growing Cypress Republican Club to honor Edith Gibson. Along with Sarah Singleton, Gail Stanart, and Donna Bahorich, Edith was on my team when I first ran for the Senate in 2005. Like so many precinct chairs who are the backbone of our party’s get-out-the-vote efforts, Edith has been a tireless worker for two decades.

She was honored by the club with an award recognizing her 20 years of service helping Republicans get elected in Harris County.

How the Senate Got Its Christmas Tree Back

When I became Lt. Governor in 2015, I brought back the Christmas tree tradition to our chamber. For reasons no one seems to know, the Senate hadn’t had a tree for a decade or more. With so many visitors to the Capitol during the holidays, I thought it would be nice to decorate. Many senators now bring ornaments unique to their districts and regions to hang on the tree.

Our Annual Staff Christmas Party

We had our staff Christmas party last week, and I’m grateful to have such a great team. We brought in Santa to record messages for staff with children and to take photos with everyone. No matter your age, Santa has a way of making everyone smile.

I asked Santa to sit on my knee to see what he wanted for Christmas. His wish? A fast and safe takeoff, flight, and landing from the North Pole on December 24. He may only fly once a year, but he certainly racks up the miles!

Warmest Wishes for a Merry Christmas

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” – Luke 2:11

From my family to yours, wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas — and Chag Sameach to our Jewish friends and all who are celebrating Hanukkah. See you in the New Year!

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,
