The Trump Administration just took another disturbing step to undermine climate science.
The Environmental Protection Agency just quietly removed key references to human activity from a webpage explaining the causes of climate change.
Until last week, the page clearly stated that “burning fossil fuels changes the climate more than any other human activity.” Now that language is completely gone.
This is not a minor edit to a webpage. It is an intentional attempt to erase the scientific consensus that human activity causes climate change and promote climate skepticism from within the very agency charged with protecting public health and the environment.
Climate change is real. Human activity is the primary cause. And the EPA knows it. But instead of telling the truth, Trump’s EPA is rewriting the record to serve political interests and fossil fuel allies. We cannot let that stand.
