This past Thursday marked the start of AmericaFest: Turning Point USA’s annual end-of-year event.

At first glance, it might seem insignificant. In reality, it’s anything but. Tens of thousands of people travel from across the country to attend this event each year.

AmericaFest is being held at the Phoenix Convention Center, which has a capacity of more than 20,000 people — and it is completely sold out.

Turning Point USA is also bringing the whole circus to town. Featured speakers include Vice President JD Vance, Steve Bannon, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Tulsi Gabbard, Speaker Mike Johnson, and Jesse Watters.

This is what we’re up against, not just in Arizona, but right here in Maricopa County.

Turning Point USA is a multimillion-dollar operation with thousands of staff members in Arizona and across the country. They are well-funded, highly organized, and deeply entrenched.

But organizing in Maricopa County, their home turf, is how we push back. It’s the equivalent of hitting them where it hurts. We’re organizing in their backyard, and that’s exactly what we plan to do heading into 2026.

They will recruit and promote candidates to challenge our Democratic leaders: Governor Katie Hobbs, Attorney General Kris Mayes, and Secretary of State Adrian Fontes — and we will be ready to defend them.

We have to be!

Maricopa County is home to more than 65% of Arizona’s registered voters. No statewide candidate can win re-election without winning here.
