As I write this, our democracy is facing one of its greatest threats: Donald Trump and his authoritarian regime.

Trump has waged war on working people. He’s made life increasingly unaffordable. He’s started a crusade against hardworking immigrant families in Illinois. And he’s hellbent on snatching away accessible health care from working people.

Enough is enough.

Juliana and I are fighting back every single day. But this moment demands more than just resistance here in Illinois. We need leaders in Washington who will stand up to Trump’s cruelty head-on — who won’t flinch when it matters most.
