John, together, we made 2025 a year of action and resilience. And even though we’ll continue to face new challenges next year, we’re determined to defend our progress with you and your fellow 3.5 million members and activists on our side.
As we reflect on the past year, take a moment with us to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together.
Our EDF community took 326,735 actions with EDF activists engaged in all 50 states!
These efforts include:
Opposing environmental rollbacks.
Fighting power plant pollution.
Enforcing action on methane pollution.
Advocating for clean energy investments.
Defending chemical safety standards.
Protecting wetlands and valuable ecosystems.
And more!
Our EDF community also includes about 200,000 donors and now more than 24,000 Eco Partners, including monthly and yearly sustainers.
Together, we’re pushing for progress. Because of the support of our members, activists and partners, we’ve celebrated wins, including:
A federal court ruled in our favor as EDF and the Union of Concerned Scientists challenged the Trump administration’s secret “Climate Working Group” and its skewed “science” report.
The court found that the Climate Working Group is not exempt from a federal law requiring a transparent process with public input. Trump’s EPA is attempting to use this report to undo the Endangerment Finding, which our legal experts are defending at every opportunity.
Colorado, the country’s fourth-largest oil-producing state, now requires oil and gas companies to fully phase out and replace intentionally polluting equipment that releases methane, ozone-forming pollution and air toxics, thanks to hundreds of EDF members’ support.
This progress highlights the opportunity to combat air pollution and protect our communities’ health by working at the state level.
EDF helped shape a Framework that could dramatically reduce carbon emissions in international shipping by focusing on efficiency, implementing a fuel standard and creating a first-ever price on carbon.
It would significantly contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from international maritime shipping to reach net-zero by 2050.
John, we're grateful for everything you do to fight for our air, water, health and environment, whether that’s by taking action, raising your voice or donating what you can to push for climate progress.
Wishing you a safe and warm end to your year,
EDF Membership Team
