New Pennsylvania Project

Hi there,

NPP is proud to have staff whose first language is Spanish and who can effectively engage Spanish-speaking voters, especially since language barriers often prevent communities from fully participating in the democratic process.

During our get-out-the-vote efforts, NPP’s Education Engagement Associate, Raquel Liranzo, canvassed Ms. Damaris, a Spanish-speaking voter, in her native language to ensure she had the information and support she needed to make her voice heard in the November general election.

Ms. Damaris, a Spanish-speaking voter

Here’s a look at their interaction:

“Ms. Damaris va a votar. Dice que va apoyar a los candidatos que se están re-eligiendo” – Raquel Liranzo

English Translation: “Ms. Damaris is going to vote. She says she's going to support the candidates who are running for reelection.”

Since our founding in 2021, NPP’s impact in our centered communities has inspired hope and driven us to continue building a more representative democracy that works for all Pennsylvanians. We are so proud of our hard work in 2025!

However, there are no off years. 2026 will be just as critical, and we need to ensure we can continue to meet voters where they are – in community spaces and online – to ensure our centered communities stay informed and have what they need to be active participants in the democratic process. Will you help fuel our work into 2026 by pitching in $25 today?

Thank you,

Team NPP

Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
