The second of the five robust data points Ballotpedia gathers is campaign themes. When available, campaign themes provide a concrete indicator of the issues a candidate believes in most strongly. What candidates say they care about tells voters who they really are.
While this information is readily available for national candidates, it’s much more challenging for the hundreds of thousands of local candidates.
We’re expanding our efforts to ensure voters can discover the themes and ideas that local candidates are discussing on the campaign trail.
