It’s now clear why Trump called on Justices Ginsburg and Sotomayor to recuse themselves from any “Trump-related” cases.
It’s because Trump knew that SCOTUS’s two paragons of progressivism would stand up to him and his right-wing agenda -- just like they did this past month.
When the Supreme Court moved to restrict reproductive rights just a few weeks ago, Ginsburg and Sotomayor issued a fiery dissent, with Ginsburg writing: “Today, for the first time, the Court casts totally aside countervailing rights and interests in its zeal to secure religious rights to the nth degree.”
A victory for Democrats in November would mean an endorsement of everything our heroes on the high court stand for -- as well as a chance to push back even stronger against the conservative majority that threatens the rights of so many.
