The next January 6th? MAGA plans to apply maximum force against Colorado until we budge on releasing Tina Peters.

Last week President Trump “pardoned” Tina Peters, the former Mesa County Clerk who was convicted by a Colorado jury for her role in a major security breach of her election equipment.
Trump however does not have the authority to have her pardoned. Since she was convicted at the state level, only the Governor of Colorado can do this. And because their fake pardon is going nowhere some are now suggesting violence is the next solution for freeing Peters.
On January 31, MAGA extremists led by Jake Lang, a white nationalist and convicted January 6th rioter, will attempt to violently break Peters out of the Colorado jail where she is being held. They are calling this planned rally - Bastille Day:
MAGA plans to apply maximum pressure, including the use of force, against Colorado until releasing Peters. Just yesterday it was reported that the decision to strip CO of the National Science Foundations’ National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) was likely a decision driven by the Peters ordeal.
Lauren Boebert is Peters’ fiercest champion: she dined with her on the day she committed her crime, encouraged her to do it, and is now rallying her base around the need to free Peters from prison, just like she rallied her base to storm the Capitol.
Violence in Colorado may be imminent and it is exactly what the Trump administration and Lauren Boebert, Peters’ fiercest champion wants.
We can’t wait for Coloradans to get injured or worse because of Boebert. We must take away the pulpit she uses to call for violence.
Boebert is only in Congress because of a 546 vote margin and is beyond vulnerable. In 2024, her Democratic opponent, Trisha Calvarese had the best performance a Democrat has ever had in this district, overperforming Kamala Harris by 6 pts as Boebert underperformed Trump in every single county.
