But now the Trump Justice Department is saying… actually, no. They’ll release some documents now and maybe the rest later. And the documents they’ve released are essentially useless, smothered in massive black redactions that hide way more than they reveal.

Democrats in Congress are examining legal options because this is what it is: defying the law to protect powerful people. Including Donald Trump.

Courts and oversight matter, but none of this accountability sticks if Republicans keep winning elections.
