I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

This news, for instance, is hard to spin into a positive:

Next summer, the Supreme Court will weigh in on removing political contribution caps — currently set at $3,500 per individual donor. This would open the door for billionaires to dump endless cash directly into candidates’ pockets and could turn our political system into a bidding war for the ultra-wealthy and ultra-powerful.

Frankly, knowing this Supreme Court, we should prepare for the worst.

Billionaires and corporations will spend ANY amount to keep weakening our rights and deciding our elections. Ergo, we’d better be ready for costly battles to defend seats like mine AND flip key House districts nationwide.

First, we'll start stockpiling grassroots resources in the months ahead, so we can fund a blue wave next November. Once that's achieved, we can launch an aggressive strategy to push big money out of our elections.
