Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick Passes Two Bills Into Law
Securing Major Wins in NDAA

Dear Mr. John xxxxxx

Today, President Trump signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick supported, advancing U.S. engagement and accountability in Haiti.

The law includes her amendment to codify the Office of Haitian Affairs at the State Department, ensuring sustained senior-level attention to Haiti’s political and humanitarian challenges, and the Haiti Criminal Collusion Transparency Act, which strengthens oversight and shines a light on the corrupt networks fueling violence and instability.

“By incorporating these provisions, this legislation takes meaningful steps to protect the Haitian people, promote transparency, and enhance regional stability,” said Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick. “I am proud to have fought for these measures and will continue working to ensure that our policies deliver real results for Haiti and the Haitian American community.”

Signed,
