Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper just blocked a Republican funding package after Donald Trump attempted to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder.  

They’re demanding full funding for NCAR, defending Colorado jobs, Colorado science, and Colorado’s role as a global leader in climate research.

Trump is throwing this dangerous tantrum because Colorado Governor Jared Polis refused to recognize Trump’s meaningless pardon of convicted election denier Tina Peters and transfer her to a federal jail. Trump can try to pressure Colorado all he wants, but we will never back down from our fight to defend the rule of law. 

But this fight takes resources. Republicans are betting that if they apply enough pressure, Democrats will fold. We can’t let that happen. If you believe in science over spite, democracy over retaliation, and Colorado over corruption, please chip in today.
