Friends,

As we wrap up the year, I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. The holiday season is a time to reflect on family, community, and the values that bring us together.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the trust you place in our office, and I hope you enjoy a safe and restful holiday season. I remain committed to working with you and working toward policies that strengthen our communities and our country.

Sincerely,

Health and Human Services Press Conference: Protecting Children

This week, I joined Secretary Kennedy for a major announcement at HHS alongside my fellow Members of Congress. Under new rules, hospitals that perform gender transition procedures on minors will no longer be eligible for Medicare and Medicaid funding. The federal government is finally taking aggressive action to stop irreversible gender transition surgeries on children and I'm proud to be a part of the movement fighting for the health of our youth.

'Rubin Report' with Dave Rubin

This week I joined Dave Rubin on his podcast to talk President Trump's counter-terrorism efforts, the United States' domestic & diplomatic developments, and my role serving on the Intelligence committee. Episode out on Monday.

White House Christmas W/ Suzy and Tara

Last week, we were honored to attend the President's White House Christmas Party for Members of Congress. Moments like these are especially meaningful when shared with family, and it was a joy to walk through the White House with my young daughter and help her begin to understand the history and responsibility that come with public service.

I am proud to have led H.R. 498, Do No Harm in Medicaid Act, to a successful vote.

This bill passed the House floor today with bipartisan support to send it to the Senate and then to the President's desk. My bill protects our children by preventing Medicaid payments to be used for gender transition procedures for those under the age of 18.

Medicaid is for those in need. My bill says Medicaid will not fund the irreversible chemical procedures on children suffering from a mental disorder.

I worked with my colleagues to codify President Trump's executive order protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation.

Woodlands Wreaths Across America

Image

Last week, I had the privilege of speaking at the Woodlands Wreaths Across America event. Wreaths Across America hosts an annual event to remember and honor our veterans by laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes. During the holiday season, it is important to remember and honor those who have served, keeping this great country free.

"Foster Care, Broken Homes, and America's Crisis of Meaning"

Manhattan Institute's Rob Henderson shares his extraordinary journey from the chaos of the foster care system to becoming one of the leading voices on human nature, social class, and culture. He joined me to break down the roots of America's growing crisis of meaning—especially among young men—and explore why childhood instability, not poverty, drives so many social outcomes. We dig into the failures of the foster system, the erosion of family structure, the search for purpose, and how discipline, responsibility, and strong values can rebuild the foundation of American society.

Rob Henderson is the best-selling author of "Troubled: A Memoir of Foster Care, Family, and Social Class." He is a Senior Fellow at Manhattan Institute.
