Trump is actively hacking the legal system to hammer in his extremist
agenda through the Supreme Court's emergency docket.
The emergency docket is for emergency cases. It’s in the name.
Yet Trump has the Supreme Court so far in his back pocket that he’s turned
it into a loophole — a fast-track to override lower courts, dodge
accountability, and get whatever outcome he wants, whenever he wants it.
If Trump doesn’t like a ruling, he doesn’t follow the law. He runs to the
Supreme Court and demands an instant decision in his favor behind closed
doors. It’s manipulation plain and simple.
And while shadow docket rulings are supposed to be temporary, their
consequences are anything but. It’s nearly impossible to undo mass
deportations, firings without cause, and racial profiling in immigration
cases.
This is how authoritarian power consolidates — quietly, quickly, and most
alarmingly, with the Court’s blessing.
