This is the only time I’ve been proud to get an F.
Hey John, it’s Angela. In case you didn’t know, even though I’m campaigning I’m still working full-time helping formerly incarcerated people transition from prison into universities. That means I know all about the first days of school, grading, and report cards.
That’s why I want to take a moment to share mine:

Now compare that to Jimmy Gomez’s...
This is the only time in my life that I’ve been proud of receiving an F.
Unlike Jimmy Gomez, I refuse to turn my back on my community to receive money from Super PACs, lobbyists, and special interests. I’m running for this race because I’m born and raised in Northeast Los Angeles. This is my home and these are my people.
I’m not afraid to turn down big checks that don’t align with my values. I know that the power is in the people, not in corporations. That’s why I’m striving to win this race the right way and continue to be graded A for my stance on Palestine, human rights, and my work for my Northeast LA community.
Can you chip in anything you can to help fuel our movement for a better Los Angeles?
