TELL THE U.S. HOUSE:
Speaker Johnson has infuriated "GOP moderates" by refusing to hold a vote on extending ACA subsidies. Now four Republicans have joined Democrats to force a vote on the subsidies that can save families from skyrocketing health care costs.
Sign the petition: Vote YES to extend ACA subsidies!
Speaker Johnson said this week that the House would NOT vote on extending ACA subsidies — meaning millions of people will face skyrocketing insurance premiums on January 1st.1 But Johnson’s move reportedly angered "GOP moderates"2 — and four Republicans joined Democrats on a discharge petition to force Johnson to hold this vote.3 Sen. Elizabeth Warren said the GOP has "all fallen in line behind Donald Trump and left American families in the dirt" on health care.4 But the discharge petition in the House could still save ACA subsidies. Americans should not be forced to choose between paying for health care and covering their rent, mortgage payments, groceries, and heat during the cold winter months. Sign the petition: Vote YES to extend ACA subsidies over the obstruction of Speaker Johnson! To end the longest-ever government shutdown, Trump and his MAGA loyalists forced through a spending bill that gutted ACA health insurance subsidies. Now, countless Americans are facing premiums that could double or triple in 2026.5 Even some Republicans in Congress acknowledged that the GOP had no plan to address rising insurance costs. MAGA leadership’s narrow plan will do nothing to prevent the impending health care crisis.6 And they’re trying to blame everyone else — insurance companies, Democrats, the Affordable Care Act itself — instead of simply extending the subsidies and saving health care in America. Congress must act quickly to avert disaster. Sign the petition: Urge your U.S. Representative to vote YES on extending ACA subsidies! Thanks for taking action,
