Yesterday, the House finally voted to delist the gray wolf!

I was proud to sponsor and fight for this legislation, because for years
you’ve been telling Washington the truth: the gray wolf is no longer endangered
in western and northern Minnesota. Instead, it’s become a menace.



The facts have been clear for a long time:


* Minnesota’s wolf population has far exceeded recovery goals.
* Farmers and ranchers have been losing livestock and pets.
* Wolves have become bold, aggressive, and too close to homes and schools.
* Rural families were paying the price while activists and judges ignored
reality.
Even after meeting recovery goals, activist groups used lawsuits and friendly
judges to keep the gray wolf listed.



This vote finally recognizes what science and common sense already showed: the
wolf has recovered. Management is a state issue and belongs back with
Minnesota, not federal bureaucrats, judges, or out-of-state activists.



I urge my colleagues in the Senate to quickly take up this matter, pass our
bill, and send it to President Trump’s desk.
