I made a commitment to ensure that individuals involved in the justice system have a second chance to rebuild their lives, folks.

That’s why I’m proud to announce that, earlier this week, I granted pardons and commutations to 24 deserving individuals.

This marks the seventh round of clemency actions I have taken. We’ve provided legal relief to over 300 New Jerseyans in under two years, more than every New Jersey gubernatorial administration over the last 30 years combined.

This is about much more than the legal process. It’s about addressing longstanding unfairness in the criminal legal system and establishing New Jersey as the state for second chances.

As I wrap up my time in office, I’ll continue to embrace a fair, impartial, and balanced approach for granting legal relief to New Jerseyans who have earned a second chance.
