Hi John, it’s Dave Young.

After some deep reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to end my campaign for Congress in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District.

Running for Congress is an incredible responsibility, and I’m proud that we built a campaign worthy of the hardworking families who call Colorado’s 8th District home. However, a close family member has entered a serious health situation, requiring me to shift my focus to caring for them while continuing to prioritize my duties as State Treasurer.

I know stepping away from this race is the most responsible choice I can make for my family and our state.

Every voter, every volunteer, every supporter, and everyone who contributed and believed in our campaign has my deepest gratitude. Your encouragement, generosity, and commitment have meant the world to me.

We built something meaningful together, a campaign rooted in service, integrity, and the belief that every Coloradan deserves a fair shot.

Although this campaign may be coming to a close, my dedication to the people of our state remains unwavering. As your state treasurer, I will continue fighting every day to deliver tangible results, safeguard our financial future, and uphold the values that define Colorado.

I am humbled, grateful, and as committed as ever to serving the people of Colorado.
