Friend
— the holidays are here!
‘Tis the season, and we are excited to celebrate and make space for
joy and community with our friends and loved ones.
But this time of year also comes with a heavy price tag for many households.
After all the funding cuts this year, more
San Diegans than ever are stuck in debt.
Community is the cure for chaos, which is why Team Monica will be volunteering this season, bringing food, gifts, coats, and support to those who need it most. Join us in your own neighborhood by supporting our most vulnerable neighbors this holiday season.

Monica is working hard on the Board to support our families through
these difficult times — last month, she proposed the Safety Net Bridge
Program to provide vital healthcare services and food benefits to
families that may lose them due to federal cuts.
She’s also working to rein in unfair junk fees that are driving up our rent.
But our most urgent needs are her top priority, so
she’s also been out in the field with our community partners,
bringing essential resources and food to seniors and
families in need right now.
And she asked us to pass this invite along to you — Live
Well San Diego can help you FIND a volunteer opportunity to support our
friends and neighbors in need TODAY!
The holidays are even brighter when you’ve spent some time giving back.
In community and love
Team Monica
