I regret to inform you that the NRA is at it again. This time, they’re comparing the AR-15 to the musket. Which I have some thoughts on. 👇

This type of false advertising is nothing new for the NRA. They love spreading lies and hateful messages more than actually advocating for safe gun ownership! After all, they endorsed Impeached President Trump this week. 

The NRA and the President stand for all the same things -- profit over people, violence over peace, and death over life. Since he took office, neither the President nor the NRA have done a single thing to prevent nearly 160,000 gun deaths. They did nothing to stop the bloodshed in neighborhoods or shopping malls. They did nothing to keep our schools and playgrounds safer. They did nothing after Parkland. Instead, they refer to the murder weapon used in my school as a “modern day musket” -- a bold-faced lie. And we will never forget that.

The NRA isn’t what they claim to be. They aren’t advocating for safe gun ownership, they aren’t even defending lawful gun owners from police. They are a corrupt corporate lobby shamelessly peddling racism and fear. And that’s why they’re failing.

Despite their internal turmoil, we're expecting they’ll spend a lot of money again in November's election as a last ditch effort to maintain their power and influence over our politics. But it won’t work. Why? Because our people-powered movement is stronger than ever before. And this movement will always put people over profit and prioritize peace over violence.
