[link removed] [[link removed]] John, here at CREW, we’ve been tracking the pardoned January 6th insurrectionists, and we have important updates for you.At least 33 January 6th insurrectionists pardoned by President Trump have been rearrested, charged or sentenced for other crimes, and four pardoned insurrectionists have allegedly reoffended since the attack on the Capitol.

Pardoned January 6th insurrectionists have been charged with: * Child sex crimes
* Sexual assault
* Possession of child pornography
* Rape
* Illegal possession of weapons (including at least two who had a previous domestic violence conviction)
* Driving while impaired or under the influence (in two of these cases, the defendant's reckless driving resulted in a fatality)

These crimes underscore the threat posed by Trump's decision to forego long-established DOJ process and grant blanket, day-one pardons and commutations to insurrectionists.

John, we cannot overstate the consequences of Trump’s decision to unconditionally pardon more than 1,500 insurrectionists on day one of his second term. When individuals are pardoned, there is no traditional monitoring or parole process, severely heightening public safety risks.

Nevertheless, some pardoned insurrectionists, including those charged with unrelated crimes, have also been embraced by the GOP establishment. One was invited to the White House. Another serves on a Virginia school board.
